It’s easier to stay unhealthy than to get fit. Fitness requires consistency, dedication and pain. When you are out of shape, it’s painful to get in shape. The body goes through pain as you challenge its muscles, joints and organs. It’s painful to eat healthy when your body craves sugar, caffeine, and bad fats. Many cannot maintain weight loss or an exercise routine because they won’t push pass the temporary “pain” of change. Diets have an end date but there are no such things when your goals are overall health and wellness

Does the bathroom scale reading determine a healthy weight? No. It is not the amount of weight you lose that is the most important measure of well-being but rather the kind of weight you lose. If you gain 2 pounds of lean muscle mass and lose 2 pounds of body fat, your scale weight will not have changed, but you will be in better shape. Your goal is to lose body fat and gain, maintain and/or restore lean muscle mass.
